Best of 2016, So Far…

Read Time:1 Minute, 42 Second

Usually, the ‘good movies’ which make the final best-of-the-year lists would not be coming out before September or October or what so called ‘Award Season.’ Meanwhile, the year’s most fun movies would only be unleashed during the summer time, which apparently starts with the end of the first semester.

Lucky, I have found and watched a handful of movies, which could make into a small, possibly best 15 of 2016 so far. For my complete and comprehensive movie diaries, you can check my Letterboxd, which helps counting all movies I’ve watched so far; as for this year, the counters only hits 64 movies.

So, here’s list of Best movies of 2016 so far (by June 30) presented in chronological order with one-word review.

  1. I agree with a lot of these, and haven’t seen a few myself. Still waiting to watch Midnight Special.

    1. Glad to hear that! Midnight Special might be the most polarizing among my list, but I enjoyed it much. Hope you will, too!

  2. The Witch is very high on my list of movies I’ve seen thus far. The Lobster…not so much.

    1. Great! The Witch is a very compelling movie. No wonder it deserves that place 😀
The Lobster is quite a personal pick for me. It’s very relevant and relatable to my surroundings, therefore it seals a position here 🙂

      Thank you for stopping by!

  3. I agree with the ones that I’ve seen except Hardcore Henry, which I didn’t think even came close to being the thrill ride that it set out to be.

    1. I pretty enjoyed it, therefore it made it to the line up 🙂 but the rest, I think, is universally accepted, right?
