“You don’t know who I am. You don’t know where I am. And you’ll NEVER see me coming.” — The Mandarin (Iron Man 3)
People that get frustrated by Iron Man 3’s most shocking twist might think that it’s a blasphemy to their favorite super-villain, The Mandarin. Nobody expects The Mandarin to be a ridiculous artist, Trevor Slattery (Sir Ben Kingsley)–a Liverpool fan who fashions himself a leader of Ten Ring organisations and an arch-enemy of Iron Man. Well, in the end this fake Mandarin ends up in jail–certainly not a thing everyone expects.
Well, nobody really knows who this fake Mandarin a.k.a Trevor Slattery is. All Hail the King highlights one moment in Trevor’s celebrity prison life–where a documentary filmmaker interviews him about his extravagant life. What All Hail the King presents is a baffling twist that redeems the frustrating twist in Iron Man 3.
For Iron Man fans (more preciously Mandarin fans), All Hail the King is a redemption. As usual, Marvel One-Shot has Marvel distinctive comedy–with some cameo that really tickles. We have never known who the real Mandarin is… so, possible sequel for Iron Man?
