04. Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
Only in Fight Club you can see someone shoots his/her own head but bursts other’s head. The narrator (Edward Norton), upon his redemption quest, gets caught by Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), the leader of Project Mayhem. Discovering the truth about Tyler’s true identity (and his own identity instead…), he grabs a cocked, loaded handgun and puts it in his mouth. After bluffing Tyler, he shoots his own head. However, he just gets a flesh wound on his cheek, while Tyler gets an exit wound on the back of his head. It’s amazing how David Fincher can visually portray Chuck Palahniuk’s idea of finishing a persona. Keep wondering how Tyler Durden dies?
